HISTORY
Thank you for those who have followed this Blog since it was created in 2019. I started of as a 2PM fan in 2011 from Taeyeon at “Dream High”. It was Taec who brought me into the world of 2PM. Then in 2013, I was lucky enough to attend the very first solo Junho concert at Sapporo, Japan. Since then, Junho became my ultimate bias.
It was back in 2016-2017, when some fan translators were moving on with other things in life and we have a time where we are missing fan translators. With encouragement from fandom friends, I started translating for my friends and posted my translations in Twitter/X. After a few years, my translations were accumulated, that was when I have the idea to put all my translations in one place for my own archiving. This is when this Blog was born. It started off as my own collection. Unexpectedly, over the years, it turned into a source where fans would go to for Junho/2PM information. I am glad this Blog is helping others in the fandom.
However, my fan experience is not all smooth sailing. For those who know me over the years, you would know I am a quiet person. I do a lot of fangirling by myself in my own bubble. I have never joined any group chats or spoken out loud my thoughts in any SNS. You can say 99% of my posts are all translations / subbing related. Despite staying low and just keeping my head down to focus on translations, I still got attacked and bullied in this fandom. For those who have followed me for long, have I ever speak ill of someone publicly in any SNS platform? Have I ever trigger any trouble in the fandom? Have I ever attacked anyone or launch any smear campaign over someone? Instead of fighting back, I kept quiet over a long period time to maintain my peace. I do know my silence is used at the advantage of others. However, I endured because nothing is more important than my peace of mind. I trust those who have observed over the years would give me justice.
This is my first time mentioning this openly and it will also be my last. For those who have observed well, thank you for your understanding and support. For those who are constantly living without peace, I hope you find your peace someday.
GOING FORWARD
Over the years, the fandom has undergone a lot of changes. I have seen waves of new fans coming in every time Junho does a drama. New fans came and old fans gone. It’s a continuous cycle of new faces and old faces. At the same time, the way we fangirl is also changing all the time. These days, some fans like to use AI translations and so, contents can be quickly posted online. I am not against AI translation but it’s sad to see the “Lost in translation” when people prioritise quick access over accuracy. To me, there is still a need for human translation to capture the emotions and feelings. For this, I will continue to do my translations and subbing when necessary. However, as I see my life outside the fandom just as important, my work won’t be as quick like before. Real human translation takes time and needs attention to details. I will be selective with what I will translate.

In the past few years, a lot of fans left X for good, which I understand. The atmosphere these days in X is very different to what it was in the past. Also, there is actually a lot of other SNS platforms to choose from. So for those who are stuck in X, it’s OK to move out of X and venture out into the horizon. You may find some peace elsewhere. For me, I have also moved onto other SNS platforms. Instead of maintaining my translations/subbing links in my X account, I have been slacking off a bit and haven’t been posting as often. However, if you are looking for my translations, the best place is actually this Blog where I kept all my translation and subbed video links.

This is my IG account where I kept videos of my concert experiences. It’s mainly Junho focus and occasionally, videos of other 2PM members as well. As these are not translation related, I don’t keep them in this Blog.
YOUTUBE – JLML718
This is my YouTube channel where I kept some of my subbed videos. In the past, Junho and other 2PM members used to do a lot of Instagram Live or VLive. Although this is no longer the trend, I am keeping these subbed video in my YouTube channel like an archive. Often fans would ask me why I do not post any official concert videos or subbed variety show directly in YouTube. The answer is simple. This is to avoid getting trouble with copyrights. This is not a myth. TV Stations or other companies do come to you and can suspend your YouTube channel. I have personally experienced this during the Red Sleeve era. They may not come to you at first, but they will eventually and it is a mess to deal with.
THE RED SLEEVE BLOG – JLML718
These days, I can still see people going into my Red Sleeve Blog to read my novel translation, which I really appreciate. It feels good knowing my effort is worth it. It’s just that I never got the time to polish the English translation and to fix all the typo and grammar problems. I am still keeping this Blog because I think this drama stayed close to my heart. I will continue to keep this Blog as long as I can, so if TRS ever comes back to your mind, you can still visit the TRS Blog.
